An-Mei Hsu, a close friend of Suyuan Woo, and particle of the Joy Luck Club. Very easy going with a good sense of humor and watchful to friends and family. Advice and comforting is her specialty.
Lindo Jong, a very adventurous character whose travels take her to China at the beginning of the novel. She has a humorous view to her that is a delectation to read about. Her personality also involves a negative side of pushing her daughter to the limit. Having to be the best at all things.
        Ying-ying St. Clair is the mysterious character of the novel. She said she always wanted to documentation her true nature hidden. She is always watching others instead of herself.
        June Woo is the very unsecure daughter of Suyuan. She is looking to find a bottom in life as well as a place for her heart.
        Rose Hsu Jordan, the daughter who was responsible for everything her family encountered. She grew up with a large family and had close bonds with each member. She is kind, yet has an attitude of slight things.
        Waverly Jong, grew up as a pressured child playing chess, and the piano. Grew up to become an independent woman who is able to think all the way for herself.
        Lena St. Clair, the rogue of the group. She was of course raised in the Chinese...
